Employee Benefits

AMSEC recognizes that employee benefit programs are an important part of the total compensation package.  We are committed to providing our employees with options to protect them from catastrophic loss due to illness, injury, or loss of life.  AMSEC employees also have the opportunity to build security for the future through retirement programs.  In addition to traditional employee benefits, AMSEC employees enjoy working in a diverse environment, which fosters personal and professional growth.

Insurance Plans

AMSEC offers a variety of programs from which employees may choose, including medical, dental, vision, group term and supplemental life and accident insurance, short- and long-term disability.  Some benefits, including the Employee Assistance Program, group term life insurance and long-term disability insurance are paid by AMSEC.  The cost of other programs may be covered by a combination of Company and employee pre-tax contributions.

Paid Time Off

Eligible employees accrue paid annual leave each pay period.  Paid Time Off provides paid leave for vacation, personal business, and short-term illness.  Accrual rates vary, based upon years of service with the Company.


Full-time AMSEC employees are eligible for eight holidays during the year including two flexible holidays.

Other Paid Leave

AMSEC provides additional paid leave for such situations as bereavement, jury duty and military duty.

Education Assistance

AMSEC recognizes its employees are vital resources whose talents are critical to the success of the Company.  Our Tuition Assistance plan encourages self-improvement through approved formal education so that employees can improve or maintain job-related skills.  AMSEC has also established an Apprenticeship Program that can lead to a Journeyworker Certificate in a specific trade.

401(k) Profit Sharing Plan

Both Full and Part-time Employees are eligible to defer a certain percentage of salary (subject to IRS limits) to AMSEC’s 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan.  A fully-vested company matching contribution may be made.  Salary deferrals are self-directed by participants into mutual funds.  The 401(k) plan permits rollovers from prior employer-sponsored qualified plans.  Loans and hardship withdrawals may be available under plan rules.

The Employee Assistance Plan is a confidential assessment and referral program designed to help employees and their families deal with personal issues that may affect their health, family life or job performance.  The Work Life Services feature provides 24/7 personalized assistance in locating resources to help with personal life commitments.
