(Virginia Beach, VA) June 27, 2007 – AMSEC LLC has promoted Gary W. Zwirschitz to director of strategic planning and business development. He is responsible for all strategic business development and proposal activities across AMSEC’s business areas. AMSEC LLC is a Virginia Beach company that provides a broad range of engineering and technical services to the Department of Defense, as well as the commercial maritime industry.
“Zwirschitz has been promoted over time to positions of increasing responsibility since he joined the company and has greatly contributed to AMSEC’s significant growth,” said Harris Leonard, AMSEC LLC’s President. “Naming Gary as the director of strategic planning and business development recognizes his achievements, strong leadership, and the vision he has for our future.”
Prior to joining AMSEC, Zwirschitz was the co-founder and president of Zeon Associates LLC, a business consulting and publishing firm for military readiness and human resource management issues. Preceding his civilian career, Zwirschitz served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years, retiring as the chief of staff for Commander Naval Surface Forces, U.S. Atlantic Fleet. Zwirschitz received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin and his master’s of business administration from The George Washington University.
