NORTHROP GRUMMAN WINS NAVY SUBMARINE REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE CONTRACT |

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Sept. 11, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) was awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy for submarine work in San Diego. AMSEC LLC, a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman's Newport News sector and full-service provider of engineering, logistics and technical support services primarily, is the prime contractor for the work. "This is a wonderful win for AMSEC, and it clearly supports our corporate goal of becoming a major provider to the Navy's submarine force," said Brad Mason, director of the maintenance, modernization and technical services operation for AMSEC. "We have assembled a full-service team of professionals with the ability to meet and exceed the highly specific demands of our Navy customers, both here at home and around the world." Work will be performed in San Diego and is expected to be completed by August 2012. The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center in San Diego is the contracting activity.
