AMSEC LLC wins Department of Defense Award

(Norfolk, VA) April 13, 2007 - AMSEC LLC, Virginia Beach, VA, is a recipient of a 2007 Department of Defense award.  Annually, the Virginia Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve recognizes several businesses, government agencies, and organizations in the state.  Each has been judged an outstanding employer for personnel policies and practices in support of employees who are also part-time members of the National Guard and Armed Forces Reserves.  This year, AMSEC LLC and two other Virginia employers were selected to receive the prestigious Pro Patria award.  Pro Patria, meaning "For the Country" recognizes outstanding support and dedication to the men and woment of the Guard and Reserve.

Mr. Gary W. Zwirschitz accepted the Pro Patria Award on behalf of AMSEC LLC Saturday night at a gala banquet in Norfolk.

The Virginia Employer Support Committee is formed by about 150 volunteers around the state.  They are educators, business leaders and government officials who encourage fellow employers to support the National Guard and Reserves.
