AMSEC LLC provides our customers with innovative solutions to maintaining their products. We seek to insert optimum technologies to lower ownership costs and to maximize equipment operational life.
Maintenance Planning
The AMSEC Team understands that the maintenance concept for a product is the foundation for all maintenance planning efforts and influences the design process. Our team understands that operational and environmental conditions and constraints impact system maintainability and performance effectiveness. Our comprehensive maintenance planning skills result from practical, hands-on experience. We influence the design process, to incorporate, where practical, built-in test equipment, diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair features. We provide a complete line of maintenance planning products for both DoD and commercial assets. The product line includes:
-
Integrated Maintenance and Performance Systems
-
Maintenance Plans, Schedules and Procedures
-
Reliability-Centered Maintenance Techniques
-
Maintenance Standards and Work Packages
-
Maintenance Monitoring
-
Maintenance Analysis Automation
Reliability-Centered Maintenance
AMSEC employs a systematic method for developing and selecting maintenance requirements and design alternatives based on maintaining system functionality. Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) takes into account operational, safety and economic considerations. The AMSEC Team increases the product Operational Availability (Ao) by reducing preventive maintenance down-time. RCM principles include:
- Maintenance is a preserving function.
- Systems are as reliable as the least reliable component.
- Maintenance is performed only when system degrades to unacceptable performance levels and then only to return to normal performance.
- Effective maintenance program is 80% preventive, 20% reactive.
- Most failures are not age-dependent; they are maintenance-dependent.
