Our scalable XML-based publishing environment supports automated workflow, multiple authoring environments, content and graphics management, and multiple document types and delivery formats meeting or exceeds industry and DoD Standards. Our architecture has allowed us to consistently adjust our environment to meet the ongoing evolution of technology and standards. When not using our proven infrastructure, we can provide expertise to support yours. AMSEC LLC is a key technology provider to the U. S. Navy’s Publishing Application at NSWC-CD SSES. As we have done for over a decade, AMSEC's continues to provide expertise on DoD working groups while shaping business rules for various specifications and standards supporting digital publishing. Our latest efforts are evolving the specification S1000D as our personnel support the Department of the Navy with this standard. Our Logistic Technology Program pioneered the Digital Product Management Activity (DPMA) concept to oversee and manage the integration of digital products into weapons platform’s digital libraries. The DPMA coordinates the synchronized delivery of hard copy and digital technical manuals, including supporting digital indices and engineering drawings. Our team provided key development of and continues ongoing support of the U. S. Navy’s Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) System. AMSEC is the leader in digital library development, management and support as consistently noted with our life cycle management of the Los Angeles Class, Seawolf Class and Nimitz Class ATIS Digital Libraries. In a typical year, our DPMA generates over 50,000 CD’s and provides support for over 700 sites around the world. Like our publishing environment, the DPMA has a robust and repeatable capture and conversion capability to support all types of inputs and output delivery requirements. This CD generation and distribution is now logically transitioning to a pure digital transmission with the implementation of our Technical Data Knowledge Management Integrated Data Environment.
